One handicap, every golf app

Your handicap. Your choice. Share it anywhere.

Publish it once. Choose which apps can see it. Stop retyping your handicap into every golf app you use.

How it works

Three steps, then you're done.

Publish your handicap once. Apps ask you before they see it.

01

Get your HandiRoam ID

Sign in with a code we email you. No password. You get a short ID like HR-7K3Q9XD.

02

Publish your handicap

Type your number in, or let an app you trust publish it when it changes. You always see who published what.

03

Choose who can see it

Each app asks for your permission. Say yes to the ones you want and take access back whenever you like.

Why HandiRoam

Built so you stay in control.

You decide, app by app

No app sees your handicap until you approve it, and you choose whether it may only read it or publish it too.

See who looked, and when

Your dashboard shows which app read or published your number, and when.

Private by design

Your email is used only to sign you in. It is held by our sign-in provider, not stored with your handicap, and never given to the apps you connect. No adverts, no tracking, no selling of data.

Plus handicaps, properly

Type +2.1 and it is shown the way you'd expect, and passed to apps in a consistent format.

Your federation, if you want

Say which national federation manages your handicap. There are more than 150 to choose from. It's optional and labelled as self-declared.

One number, everywhere

Update it in one place and every app you've approved sees the latest.

Privacy

Every app sees a different you.

Your HandiRoam ID is yours alone. When you connect an app, HandiRoam gives it a private reference that works for that app and nobody else.

So two apps can't compare notes and work out you use both, and disconnecting one never affects another.

For golf apps and clubs

Let your players bring their handicap with them.

Add "Connect HandiRoam" to your app and skip building handicap entry, validation and updates. Players approve you once, and you read their latest handicap and, when they allow it, publish updates.

  • Simple connect flow. Send the player to HandiRoam, get a one-time code back, exchange it on your server.
  • A small, clean API. One request to read, one to publish. Built to carry more golf data than handicaps later.
  • Privacy built in. You hold a reference, never a HandiRoam ID, and players can disconnect you at any time.
  • Free to start. A free tier for small apps, with published limits and paid plans when you outgrow them.

Questions

What golfers ask.

Can't see your question? Email support@handiroam.com.

Is HandiRoam free for golfers?

Yes. Getting a HandiRoam ID, publishing your handicap and connecting apps is free.

What happens to my email address?

It is used to sign you in and for nothing else. Our sign-in provider (WorkOS) holds it on our behalf and sends you the sign-in code; HandiRoam's own database stores your handicap against a random ID, not your email, and the apps you connect never receive it. Delete your account and it is removed from the provider too.

Is my handicap verified?

Not unless it comes from a verified source. Normally HandiRoam shows the number you, or an app you approved, published, and doesn't check it against your federation or club. If your federation connects as a verified source, its numbers are labelled as verified. Either way, a handicap shown here is not an official handicap record.

Can apps see who I am?

Only what you choose to share with them in their own app. HandiRoam gives each app a private reference, not your HandiRoam ID or any contact details.

Can I remove my data?

You can disconnect any app instantly, and delete your account from your dashboard. That removes your handicap history, your connected apps and your activity log. An app keeps anything it has already read, under its own privacy policy.

Which federation do I choose?

Whichever manages your handicap, or none. It's optional, you can change it any time, and apps see it labelled as self-declared.

Can my federation send my handicap?

Yes, if your federation connects as a verified source. You approve it like any app, its numbers are labelled as verified, and your federation is filled in for you. Not every federation is connected yet.
